TELL SACRAMENTO: DON'T RAISE TAXES
Despite already facing an uncertain economy, inflation, and affordability challenges, Sacramento decided that consumers and patients should pay more than 25% in cannabis excise tax at their local dispensary register.
Yes, that’s right. You're now paying 25% more in taxes on safe, legal, and regulated cannabis products. Ironically, this tax increase will reduce overall cannabis tax revenue, directly hurting the youth drug prevention programs and community initiatives that depend on these funds. AB 564 (Haney) can still roll back the cannabis excise tax to 15%.
This fight is far from over, so urge your state legislators to support AB 564.
3) Ask five family, friends, and/or neighbors to take action.
