DYK? Sacramento decided that consumers and patients should pay 25%+ more in cannabis excise taxes, despite too many Californians already struggling with inflation and cost-of-living challenges.

This misguided policy hurts everyone. When legal cannabis becomes unaffordable, consumers turn to dangerous, untested illicit products, putting public health at risk. Meanwhile, the community programs that depend on cannabis tax revenue are actually losing funding as legal sales continue to collapse.

The choice is clear: protect the legal cannabis market AND the programs it funds, or watch both collapse under the weight of unsustainable taxation.
